Camtek’s Algorithms group develops and implements machine-vision based solutions to a variety of challenging applications from the image sensing and data domain. This includes anomaly detection, classification, segmentation, object detection and measurement and much more.

The Group is looking to hire a machine learning \ Deep learning specialist to develop new approaches and capabilities to complement and enhance current capabilities, as well as come up with new innovative ones.

Job scope:

• Building ML and DL capabilities, methodologies and infrastructures within the group
• Mentor the other group members on subjects and aspects of machine learning and deep learning
• Understanding the company's business objectives and mapping technical\technological challenges
• Suggesting and developing effective models that help to tackle challenges under constraints of results quality, processing power constraints and throughput
• Preparing and managing data set resources
• Training models and tuning their hyperparameters.
• Analyzing Model behavior and adapting the models in order to overcome limitations
• Exploring and visualizing data in order to characterize trends\patterns and identifying effect of possible variations when utilized on real world data
• Deploying models to production

Skills

• M.Sc or PhD in computer science, electrical engineering, physics, mathematics or equal
• Deep understanding of machine learning, deep learning and statistical analysis methods and proficiency with utilization of such methods
• Proficiency with a deep learning framework such as TensorFlow, Keras, pytorch
• Familiarity with and understanding of the classic image processing and computer vision field.
• Proficiency with Python and Matlab, including machine learning, machine vision and image processing libraries\extensions
• Expertise in visualizing and manipulating big datasets
• Ability to work within a team and mentor others while being also able to independently push a task.
• Passionate with innovation and keeping in tune with up to date trends.
• Experience with Optical Systems / Microscopy – an advantage
• Experience in the semi-conductor industry – an advantage

• Characterization of tasks based on challenges from customers and/or marketing requirements.
• Design and development of algorithms to solve the challenge. This includes matlab prototyping.
• Implement, using C++/C#, the algorithm within a scope of Camtek's product SW system.
• May require short overseas travel to customer sites.

Experience:

• BSC (higher degree is appreciated) in Computer Science/Elect. Eng./Physics/Mathematics.
• At least 2 years of proven hands-on experience developing machine vision algorithms.
• At least 2 years of proven hands-on experience implementing machine vision algorithms in C++ in Win32 environment.
• Matlab experience
• SW architecture and design principles.
• Multi-disciplinary SW team work experience is appreciated.
• Developing in C# in Win32 environment - appreciated.
• Experience in Open CL/CUDA - appreciated.

Job Description

• Participant in development of multidisciplinary project end to end full stack
• The development shall be mostly in C# and C++
• Lead development tasks through all stages – gathering requirements, planning, performing DRs and full implementation.
• Design and implement various features on a wide range of platforms.
• Work closely with System and HW engineers, SW developers, QA and many more.
• Perform design and code reviews and system integrations.
• Constant collaboration and knowledge sharing with the SW team.

Requirements:

• BSc Degree or equivalent in Software Engineering / Computer Science
• Experience in Win environment, specifically C# - required
• Experience in C++ - Big advantage
• Experience in Com technologies – An advantage
• WPF experience- An advantage

Position Description:

The company develops products for the semiconductor inspection. As a researcher in our deep learning team, you will be developing new approaches in the field of computer vision and help create novel ideas and algorithms that will be incorporated in our core products.

Position Requirements:

• M.Sc. or PhD in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field, with a background in computer vision, machine learning and deep learning.
• Experience in Matlab, Python, with deep learning software framework, Tensor Flow in particular.
• At least 3 years of experience in computer vision, developing and implementing algorithms based on machine learning techniques.
• Strong technical skills and highly motivated.
