Application Development Engineer
Description
The Application Development Engineer serves as an interface between the marketing and the R&D, ensuring product requirements are properly delivered from marketing to R&D and verifying the products’ quality at the end of the development cycle, by using advanced analytic tools
- Define application requirements based on customer processes
- Validate new algorithms, optics, and system capabilities during prerelease cycles.
- Run structured experiments and statistical/image‑based analyses
- Work daily with Algorithm, Physics, Systems Engineering, and Software teams to translate customer necessity into technical requirements (user stories, wireframes, workflow definitions).
- Prepare validation reports, application documentation, and evaluation summaries.
- Train internal stakeholders on new applications
Requirements
- Proven research background — experience conducting structured experiments, analyzing complex datasets, and driving conclusions using scientific methodology.
- Academic background in any scientific or engineering field, including Physics, Engineering, Biology, Chemistry, or related sciences.
- Strong background in multidisciplinary systems.
- Strong data analysis skills; experience with statistical/image‑based analysis tools (Excel, JMP, MATLAB, or Python).
- Ability to evaluate and validate algorithmic (including AI‑based) system performance.
- Fluent technical English.
- Familiarity with semiconductor fabrication processes and inspection workflows
- Travel internationally (20-30%) for installations, support, and customer engagements
